Munich Oktoberfest

Put on your Drindle and Lederhosens and enjoy a day at Germany's largest beer festival. 

A few years ago, we caught a last minute flight from Amsterdam to Munich to spend the day at Oktobefest and have memories for a lifetime! Though we didn't have reservation for seating in the main area of the larger tents, we were able to visit most of them and found seating in a few. I do suggest you reserve a table in advance if possible and early as many of the main tents are all reserved many months in advance.   It was a perfect sunny day to enjoy the festivities of this spectacular adult carnival. We sang, cheered, and marveled at all the brightly colored tents, beer by the barrels, horses dressed in symbolic costumes, ginger heart shaped cookies, humongous pretzels (Bavarian Brez'n), music, rides, and happy people all around!

Munich Oktoberfest 2024

 The 189th Oktoberfest will be held at Munich's Theresienwiese from September 21 to October 6, 2024

You have to reserve early if you want space in one of the main tents.  The reservation option for Oktoberfest will be activated by spring, at the latest in April or May.
